During a meeting with the new Colombian ambassador in Washington, we had a fruitful dialogue about the prospective scenario of the flower business in the main arena of its commercial dealings.

Juan Carlos Pinzón is also former Minister of Defense and Presidential Chief of Staff. He graduated from Princeton University and has been a friend of the flower-growing industry. He is interested in promoting floriculture in the United States.

The strengthening of promotional activities for Colombian flowers was also discussed during the visit, as well as other subject matters such as trade facilitation efforts and ways to overcome specific hurdles.
